In general for my patterns, the hook size can be adjusted to match your own tension. Using different hooks may result in size variation, but this doesn't matter much as long as you are consistent.
Materials:
Crochet hook 3.0 mm, or adjusted to your tension
Cotton yarn 8/4, 170 m per 50g Red = 8g Black = 6g White = 3g
Foam block, 3 cm x 3 cm x 6 cm (or 2 blocks of 3x3x3 cm)
Plastic piece, 3.5 cm x 7.5 cm (adjust to fit the undercarriage based on your tension) – cut from e.g. a plastic container lid with rounded corners (alternatively, a laminated lamination pocket can be used; the result will be less rigid)
Stuffing = 1g

Abbreviations:
st = stitch
mr = magic ring
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
ch = chain
inc. = increase (2 stitches in the same stitch)
flo = front loop only
blo = back loop only
dec. = invisible decrease (insert hook in flo in the next 2 stitches, pull yarn through both loops)
*–* x ? = repeat x number of times
(number) = number of stitches in the round
