White Figures — Accessories Pattern: "The Carnival Team"

A great companion purchase if you already own a full White Figures pattern.

"The Carnival Team" is the perfect decoration for when you want to make something special out of Fastelavn — the beloved Danish carnival tradition.
These accessories set a festive mood and make great conversation pieces with children when talking about costumes and dressing up.
Leave out the granules and use extra stuffing instead to make lighter figures.

The pattern includes instructions for a crown, a mask, and a barrel bat.

Info:

Generally for my patterns, the hook size can be changed to fit your own gauge.
When using a different hook size than specified, there may be size variations compared to my figures, but this is of little importance as long as you are consistent in your choices.

Materials:

• Crochet hook: (or according to your own gauge)
  3.0 as primary hook
  1.5 hook for lace yarn
• Cotton yarn 8/4, 170 m per 50 g
• Cotton lace, 280 m per 50 g
• Brocat Lurex, 350 m per 50 g
• Needle & Scissors

Crown
   Bordeaux (with gold glitter) cotton 8/4 = 1 g
   Gold, brocat lurex = 1 g
   Stuffing = 0.5 g

Mask
   Black, cotton lace = 1 g

Barrel bat
   Beige, cotton lace = 1 g
   Stuffing = 0.5 g

Abbreviations:

st = stitch
mr = magic ring
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
bob = bobble stitch
FLO = front loop only
BLO = back loop only
inv dec = invisible decrease (insert hook into FLO of next 2 sts, pull through and pull yarn through both loops)
inc = increase
*-* x ? = Repeat x number of times
(number) = total stitch count for the round
rnd = round
row = row
